Be like Monzo

Monzo is a fantastic bank. I have used them for many years now, and year on year they improve their offering. I have Flex, Loans, Investments and a business account. And I cannot fault them. Other banks should try and be more like Monzo. Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

I’ve used monzo for 2 years i would never switch.

I’ve used monzo for 2 years now, i would never switch. Monzo has great interest , original ideas , such as the “1p challenge” and i love the “get paid the day before feature”!. I have recommended Monzo to over 5 people and monzo gives me £5 everytime for it! but it’s such a great bank id do it without the money incentive! Gone from holiday account to main account!

Set up account initially so could track holiday spend, to use abroad and for exchange rates. I’ve found it so easy to use, accessible with no hidden fees etc that I’ve now made it my main bank account. Absolutely love it and have had no issues so far. The best banking app on the market

I’ve tried a lot of banking apps including Santander, Chase, Starling, First Direct and finally Monzo. None of them offer the same digital-first experience. I work as a software engineer and I can’t express by how impressed I am by how much this app puts the customer first. No dreaded phone calls to a call centre, just a few taps on my phone. An example is in Starling, to replace a connected card it’s call their call centre - but on Monzo no such thing - just tap on the app. Monzo also offer a lot of great other features such as split the bill and shared tabs. When we go on holiday with a group of friends, we can all add our expenses onto a shared tab showing transparency to everyone meaning we always make sure we each pay our fair amount. They also provide great flexibility with their current accounts when linked to a flex credit card - where you can retrospectively convert a current account charge to a flex charge. No need to carry lots of cards with you anymore! Reviewed on: 18th March 2025
