COMPLETE MESS

when I first started banking with Nationwide, they were lovely. Now I have to change my card details continually as they keep putting a block on it as they don't believe that it is I using MY OWN MONEY. They keep claiming its been bloody compromised. I DONT UNDERSTAND. Reviewed on: 5th May 2018

Great rate, great service

Having taken out a mortgage with Nationwide in 2013 I was due a review after my fixed rate was coming to an end. In the review the Nationwide staff were very friendly and helpful in explaining the situation and what they could offer. The bottom line: they gave me a rate that means I can still pay what I've been paying for the last 5 years but because of the lower rate means I will be mortgage free sooner than expected having wiped 8 years off the term. A straightforward mortgage with a reasonable rate

Good product, but screwed up during our move

We really like Nationwide and we've been with them for years and have happily recommended them in the past. However our recent move was made incredibly stressful when they suffered an IT fault on out move day, and were unable to complete our transaction. We were forced into a hotel at short notice. They did resolve the problem and promised compensation, however their initial offer was desperately inadequate and they were difficult to deal with. The matter has now been resolved, but it has left a sour taste to a previously excellent relationship. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2018

Local service

You can ring straight to the branch to book appointments and speak to someone in your local branch. This enables you to build a relationship with your local branch which you just don't get from other banks. Rates are great too which is always good! Reviewed on: 9th January 2018

New Mortgage
