A pathetic business banking relationship

The business profile team are hopeless. I’m surprised they have a review rating of over 3. If I could I would mark them 0. We have had our internet banking suspended since 28/7, it’s now 24/8. All of the documentation required was uploaded in stages to fully comply since 11/8. On 11/8 I was told that the lifting of restrictions could take up to 48 hours. I called back on 14/8, 16/8, 18/8, 21/8 and 23/8 to be palmed off with the same 48 hours nonsense. Clearly the business profile team either do not have a clue, or just treat you like an idiot. We have been without banking now for nearly one month. A great way to try to run a business. Reviewed on: 24th August 2023

Closed our business bank account

Closed our business bank account and we were unaware. Claim they sent a letter giving notice which was sent to our old company address. Now we can’t access our company money. You can’t escalate this within NatWest and you can’t speak to anyone senior. They only send out the one letter and no further letters or notifications are issued. We may gain access to our accounts apparently, failing that they will send us a cheque once they ‘formally’ close our account. We have suppliers to pay and wages and can not access anything. Horrible anti-fraud processes

Admin Gone mad

I do the accounts of several companies. The business profile experience of Nat West and RBS is simply shocking. They sent mail to the wrong address (both Nat West and RBS), the RBS closed the account without notice (without intervention nat West would have done the same). These people have 100% power and absolutely no responsibility. Try filling out the shareholding profile when you have dozens of shareholders - it only says that they want the big shareholders only after the page when you have to fill that detail out. Surprisingly good

I began my new business just over a year ago and so far it has been very easy to deal with Natwest. My account was set up very fast and all the information I received was straight forward and easy to understand. Am so disappointed in NATWEST

Gone are the days of helpful banking. They placed a restriction on a personal account and business account. They dont even inform you. And Then they don't even respond to emails. Or acknowledge them The whole department is 1 person. They dont even provide a contact number. Will be taking my banking elsewhere. HSBC seem a much more professional option.
