Good interest rate deal, prompt service, friendly helpful staff.

The team at Newbury were very helpful and friendly. My purchase became quite complicated in the last few days with a possibility it would fall through or delay. Newbury were flexible and were able to make funds available at short notice even though the request had been recently cancelled. Couldn't have asked for more. A nice little touch was a parcel through the post on the day after my move with a mini hamper of tea, coffee and biscuits. Thank you Newbury! Reviewed on: 31st May 2023

Excellent mortgage terms and service

We were introduced to the Newbury Building Society through our mortgage broker and found the mortgage offer and process through to completion very professional and speedy. Excellent customer service

Whilst there were administrative difficulties in completing our mortgage, these did not relate to the customer service we received from the individuals we were dealing with. Throughout the remortgaging process, we were impressed with the knowledge, can-do, attitude, and efficiency of Jill Bennett, who was our lead point of contact. Many thanks, Jill. Very friendly customer service but slow times

I've had a great experience dealing with Newbury customer service, everyone is very friendly and I recieved a surprised house warming gift at my new home. It was a really lovely gesture. They were also able to offer me a mortgage when not many were able to in my situation. The only downside is that they can have slow response times so I was waiting about 2 weeks between communications to sort everything out. They were aware of the slow times and did apologise, I think they were overwhelmed at the time due to the market crisis. Thank you for helping me get my own home in difficult circumstances! Great first experience

I choose Newbury for my first ever mortgage for shared ownership property. They were very professional, polite great communication, helpful and also act promptly. I am very pleased with the great! Generally a smooth transaction

This was a remortgage on an existing house, it all went pretty smoothly. The only issue we had was that we had to request the previous mortgage statement whilst on holiday, and then get paperwork signed and back within a really short period which was during bank holidays when there was no post. Would have been good to have got confirmation it had got there in time. We received a hamper in the post after the transaction was completed which was a nice touch, although we hadn't actually moved in to a new house! Reviewed on: 6th May 2023

Good service

We got a good deal, and had great customer service. We were using some of the proceeds from our remortgage to buy a second property, and needed a rapid completion on the remortgage. Your team made this happen with very short notice. Reviewed on: 6th May 2023
