Support for Older/Retired Borrowers, Customer focused with Direct Underwriter Access

We presented a set of Challenging Mortgage Requirements. Newbury BS stepped up. Criteria included Interest Only, part/part, over 70 ages and need for lengthy Offer period due to renovation. Few if any other providers would even consider our need. We tested Newbury BS claim that they do not discriminate on age and found they actually stand by it! Reviewed on: 6th April 2023

Very lovely customer service

Our experience with Newbury Building Society has been nothing but positive. Every person I dealt with has been very pleasant, efficient and informative. In particular, our experience with Ella Bright and Stephanie Burke was fantastic. We also loved the new home survival box that arrived at our new house - it was such a lovely touch. Initial admin error made up for by dedicated staff

I applied for a mortgage on my house, as my existing one's terms were due to expire. At the start of my application there was an admin error, but thanks to the personal attention of staff at Newbury, we worked out the fault and caught up with my application process in time to meet the target completion date. Wonderful Service

We are older mortgage applicants and our choice of provider was restricted - it really didn’t matter as we’d have opted for the Newbury regardless. Their attitude from the word go has been friendly, positive and so very helpful. A faultless transaction from application to completion! To have a welcome pack delivered the day after completion was the icing on the cake and, indicative of their whole business model! Reviewed on: 1st April 2023
