Highly understanding and helpful building society.

Highly understanding and helpful building society. We needed to change our current mortgage provider to help son buy his first home. Our previous provided was unwilling and unhelpful to be able to do this - Newbury were a real pleasure to engage with and we've stayed with them. They are competitive in the market place and certainly make you feel a valued customer (and prospective customer at the time of our re-mortgage). A definite recommend for others! Mortgage lenders with a quality service

We have had mortgages with Newbury for many years now. They were recommended by our financial advisor as we were in an unusual situation, with a property rented out for a period and one of us working abroad. We have been delighted with the quality of the service: helpful advice from staff who are competent and friendly. Face to face meetings over videoconference, with follow-up emails and letters in a timely manner. Probably not the cheapest on the market, but we believe you get what you pay for, and Newbury have never disappointed us. Reviewed on: 30th May 2025

Cash Flow

We wanted more cash flow but our money is tied up in the house. So we asked to borrow a certain amount. Everything, was settled within a few weeks. The mortgage advisor and the mortgage underwriter were excellent. Reviewed on: 16th May 2025

I have used the Newbury BS for many years. They are a lender that has a common sense approach coupled with the ability to access the underwriter. Both of these help the client, to a smooth outcome.
