Excellent from first to last, simple pragmatic solutions to any difficulties

The customer service from Newbury mortgage team has far surpassed anything I have experienced in the past, absolutely first rate. The initial interview was not overly intrusive, asked what was required and was not condescending (as experienced with other potential lenders.) I asked for two extensions to the offer which were granted without fuss and the minimum of paperwork. Similarly with a last minute hitch in clearing the existing mortgage this was handled with a co-operative, can-do attitude. I have felt I have been treated as a trusted customer and that the staff are not hide-bound by their own procedures. Mine was not a seamless mortgage application but was made straightforward because of the the positive attitude of Newbury Building Society and its staff Reviewed on: 25th March 2022

Great products, process and people.

Great product offering supported by an innovative approach to lending. The post application process and underwriting was personalised, flexible and demonstrated a constructive and problem solving approach. Amazing communication!

I’m actually a mortgage broker so I knew Newbury would be great from experience but it’s completely different applying for your own mortgage! Considering I submitted my application during the Christmas break I was kept up to date with what was happening and had my offer issued in no time with a competitive rate. Application for further mortgage advance

Your mortgage advisor provided me with exemplary service. We had very tight timelines and a couple of difficulties along the way and we always felt that Eve went above and beyond in helping us with timely, good advice and in fighting our corner when the underwriters were overzealous and asked for unnecessary actions. We have always found Newbury staff the best of all building society staff we have dealt with but Eve excelled beyond our (high) expectations. Reviewed on: 18th March 2022

Good value product and efficient process

I transferred from a self build loan. Although the initial investigations were extensive and seemed more intrusive than necessary , the process was smooth and it was a very good offer. Documentation was simple and processes clearly explained. I considered various providers but this was the best one for me. Reviewed on: 18th March 2022

Excellent customer service from well informed staff

Application handled online and staff were always available to assist, no waiting on the phone for hours or having to leave messages in the hope that some one will return your call. Staff are well informed and found the best mortgage for my needs. I would highly recommend Newbury Building Society and don't know why I haven't used them before. Reviewed on: 11th March 2022
