Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

My favourite savings partner

Personal service triumphs over digital contact

I recently visited the Wokingham branch in order to open a new account and was so impressed with the friendly, courteous and professional attitude of the staff. Special praise is due to Sindra who spent 40 minutes with me giving excellent advice . She was so well informed about the Society's products and what would be best for me and I really appreciated her personal service. I have held accounts with the Newbury for nearly 40 years and it remains my favourite of all the financial institutions I deal with. Reviewed on: 4th April 2025

First class customer service provided both in branch...

First class customer service provided both in branch and over the phone, not kept hanging on waiting for an answer. Online provision is fully secure and is easy to navigate, with FAQ`s being covered extensively on the help page. All interests rates and deposit required are clearly outlined, making it easy to choose the right product. Reviewed on: 2nd April 2025
