PayPal Credit can be very useful - just be careful.

PayPal Credit can be very useful. Just be wary of the interest rates. It's super easy to Pay-In-3 or put something big on credit - make sure you have a plan to pay it back on time. As a musician, I’m often having to front large sums to acquire music equipment. PayPal can be helpful in these scenarios. Reviewed on: 26th May 2025

Overall, my experience with PayPal has been positive. The service is convenient, user-friendly, and generally reliable. However, I did encounter an issue that I believe could be improved. I had more than one PayPal Credit account with monthly direct debits. When I attempted to close one of these credits, I discovered that there was no clear option to direct payments toward a specific credit balance. This lack of control put me at risk of incurring interest charges, even though I was actively making payments. It would greatly improve the customer experience if PayPal allowed users to allocate payments toward specific credits, especially when managing multiple balances. This added flexibility would help users stay on top of their finances and avoid unnecessary fees. Reviewed on: 26th May 2025
