Misleading Customer Service

While I appreciate the fact that PayPal gave me access to PayPal Credit with the option to buy items over £99 and spread the cost over four months at 0% APR, my overall experience has unfortunately been very disappointing. I added the virtual card to my wallet and, before attempting to use it, I contacted customer service on three separate occasions to specifically ask whether there were any limits or restrictions on the card. Each time, I was assured by different representatives that there were no limits and that I would be able to use the card as long as I had available credit. However, when I went to make a purchase at a very busy Costco store, the card was blocked at the till. It was embarrassing and inconvenient, and I had to quickly use another card to complete the payment. What makes this especially frustrating is that I had already taken the time to confirm everything beforehand with customer service, only to receive inaccurate information multiple times. Because of this experience, I still haven’t had a proper opportunity to use or benefit from the 0% APR offer. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when relying on information provided by customer service, as my experience was far from reassuring. Very disappointing overall. Fantastic experience all round.

I have used PayPal Credit for years and have always had a top notch experience. On the customer service side, I have never had to contact their support team (a really good thing!) so I can't comment on that, but I am sure they would do a good and fair job.
