I’ve been a customer with PayPal maybe 20 years or more never had any issues until recently I lost my debit card cancelled with my bank but must of affected my payment method on PayPal but rather than getting a email reminder or prompt to my horror I got a letter in the post whilst on holiday a notice of sums I arrears, I was very much not happy and have decided to stop using PayPal and will eventually delete my account Reviewed on: 11th May 2026
