Our dog has had a few health problems over the last few years and Petplan have always paid with no problems. We love the fact that our vets accept Petplan directly so we only have to worry about paying the excess. Have had 3cocker spaniels insured with Pet plan over 30 years in total and have had nothing but positive experiences. Have paid out many thousands of pounds over the years. I do nothing with paperwork anymore and everything is done via my vet. Brilliant! Reviewed on: 24th August 2017

We have been with Petplan for two years with my current dog and for eleven years previously with my old dog. They have always paid up, no quibbles and the fact that they pay the vet directly is a massive help. So far, premiums have only risen a small amount considering we've claimed a few times. First insured my pets with Petplan in 1997. I can't even begin to recall how many over the years! Simple claims process, good levels of cover. Sensible terms and conditions without ever changing goalposts. Wouldn't insure anywhere else! Reviewed on: 23rd August 2017

Best cover available for precious four-legged members of our family!!

I feel secure in the knowledge that my precious little dog is covered against any issues that arise with her health and well-being. I have had cause to use Petplan when our dog became very poorly a few years ago.....the one thing I never had to worry about was paying for the treatment that she needed.....stress levels were high enough without that added worry! Petplan have literally been lifesavers.

Petplan have made payment on all the claims I've submitted for 2 of my dogs. My late dog had cancer treatment over a period of 2 years so with Lifetime cover, we were able to continue the treatment over that period. My new dog has a skin condition and the drugs are expensive. Despite this, there has never been a query and payment has been made directly to the vet each time. These claims have not affected the monthly cost - unlike another insurer we have for our second dog. Unfortunately, with her previous health history, it's too late to swap to Petplan for her. Without the insurance, we would not have been able to afford treatment. I dread to think what we would have done! Reviewed on: 22nd August 2017

Two dogs insured with Pet Plan - and both have had claims. One was for a very large amount (full policy value) and only two weeks after taking it out. In both instances payment was made direct to vets / specialist with no fuss or delay. Would not use another insurer. Got my vote Reviewed on: 22nd August 2017

Pony claim

2yrs ago I had a pony who had an injury and petplan were great paid out and put my mind at rest as the vet bill was high unfortunately I lost her not to her injury but to laminitis I now have my 1yr old cat insured with petplan Reviewed on: 22nd August 2017
