Petplan is one of the most well-known pet insurers in the UK.

Petplan promise to never charge you more for claiming and they’ve created policies that cover some things other insurers don’t. You can get pet insurance for dogs, cats and rabbits. There’s also a multi-pet cover option.

I have insured my pets with Petplan for many years. I have had dogs on long term expensive medication and there was never an issue with Petplan covering any of the costs. Yes the cost may go up yearly but as expected never a huge hike like some other companies. I would never insure my pets with anyone else. Reviewed on: 27th August 2022

The Best one of All

Over the last 45 years I have had insurance for my 11 dogs from several different companies, but since taking out insurance with PetPlan for my current 2 dogs, I can now breathe a sigh of relief when I come out of the vets - which is often- as I don’t have to worry about massive bills. Insurance is not cheap, but it isn’t with other companies either and to be fair, the costs are not increased as much annually as others are even when past the age of 10. Having one dog with Addison’s Disease and one with Epilepsy, Petplan have taken away the worries of financing both lifelong conditions. I can also see my policies easily online which helps. I cannot be more happy with having insurance with Petplan Reviewed on: 27th August 2022

Very positive experience with Petplan this year after our little dachshund, Lola, was referred for an emergency operation on her neck. I would choose Petplan everytime for my pets. Have always been reasonable with exclusions, paid all of my claims, insure my pet over 8yrs and reset our allowance each year allowing us to continue claiming on a single illness. Quite expensive.. I have used PetPlan to insure my dogs for over 8 years. They have paid out every claim I have made within 48 hours. Their annual increases are always reasonable. Great peace of mind having both my dogs insured with then. I would (and do) recommend them the everyone. Reviewed on: 26th August 2022
