Scammer !!!!!!!!!!

(In Canada) Fetch by the Dodo (previously known as Petplan) is an unethical, untrustworthy and horrible company. For someone who is planning to enroll pet insurance, it’s better to avoid this company. I enrolled the pet insurance for my dog aged 3 months in 2021. At that moment, there was no medical check up report request but I was asked for it when I submitted a claim after 4 months because my dog got diarrhea. I felt upset and frustrated as there was no point to get a medical check up report after a vet visit with spending additional $200 for claiming $150. The most ridiculous point was that a medical report was not required when the pet insurance was enrolled. But you will be asked for it when you make a claim” That was totally unacceptable. They just don’t want to give you a claim !!!!! I received the announcement from Petplan by an email about they exited Canada business. This was a release to me as I do not have to deal with this company anymore. However, they took my card info and debited the annual fee again and refused to refund. I have never authorized Fetch by the Dodo to make a payment from my card after 2021. I called the customer service for a negotiation. Of course, they refused to refund. They have never provided a proper service to their customers but keep stealing the money from their pocket. Recently, I found out that there were a lot bad comments about this company. I write this as I wish no more pet owners will be another victim. As a pet owner, I just want to get a protection to my dog but I am kinda getting in a scam. Reviewed on: 17th May 2023

Grateful to Petplan for 8 extra years and counting.

When the vet wanted to put our dog down at 2, Petplan Covered For Life enabled us to get a 2nd opinion, specialist referral & excellent treatment. He is now nearly 10! Reviewed on: 26th August 2024

Been with petplan 29yrs best pet insurance around .

Would recommend petplan life insurance. 29yrs ive been with them and have always had good service .Knowing my cats are covered for illnesses and conditions for life .My policies are automatically renewed and having my petplan its so easy to track claims and down load policies etc .I find petplan good value and excellent service . Expensive and doesn't value loyal customers

Got a quote for 2 new puppies. Have an adult with Pet plan already. Was too expensive so waited about 3 weeks to next pay day went back for another quote and it had gone up £7 Which I thought was a bit much so haven't taken up looking elsewhere. When I queried was told was their best price. I have insured several dogs over last 20 years and never claimed customer service and rewards for loyalty not given so time to ditch and look elsewhere. Right cover right price.

Really helpful in ensuring you have the right cover. Knowledgeable staff who understand pet and owner needs. We have cover for life for the dog and lower level cover for a pony because we don’t do a lot with him. Reviewed on: 22nd August 2024

I have used Petplan for my lurcher, Summer for the past 11 years. From day 1, I've always found them to be very easy to deal with. If I've ever had to call them, they've always dealt with my enquiry in a professional way and all claims have been settled quicky without issue and I've always been kept well informed throughout the process. We very sadly lost Summer recently and even in her final claim, they were kind and understanding. I couldn't fault them. Although their premiums may be higher than some. Wonderful pet insurance

Our little dog has Pruritus which means he needs continuing treatment which Petplan cover, for life! It's wonderful to know our little guy is being well looked after. Claims are handled quickly and efficiently without fuss. Wonderful. Reviewed on: 19th August 2024
