Post Office Matched Credit Card

I've had this credit card for almost two months now and all seems to be going well. The online application was quick and simple, I was approved instantly and my card/PIN/online log-in details all arrived within a week and a half. The offer of 0% purchases for 27 months was the big draw for me although upon receiving the card, there was no mention of the 27-month 0% purchase period. It turns out that you have to make at least one purchase on the card within the first three months to receive the full 27 months, otherwise, you will receive the default 16 months. Admittedly, the online banking for the card is very, very basic - you can view your purchases, update personal details and that's about it! You can't pay your bill via the website, you have to pay via your current account - I had to set up direct debit details via my current account and manually pay every month. Worst customer service ever

I took out a credit card with them a year ago as there was a no fee foreign purchase. The credit is useful when you go on holiday and I found that the application on line was nice and smooth. There is only one problem!!!! As soon as I needed to speak to them directly via call centre, the service was dreadful. I wanted to cancel my account and after several calls my account was still open and still was getting statement from them with £2 credit which I have requested to be sent to me by cheque. I have still not received it and waiting for a confirmation of the closure. This has been at least 6 months. I have written to them a few weeks ago hoping to solve the matter and Yesterday I have received a respond which says my card has been blocked. I could not believe it.....!!!! However I have called them again and this time I was promised that the matter has been resolved....let`s hope and see Reviewed on: 4th November 2015
