About this product

The RBS Select current account is a basic account for everyday banking.

Account holders can access RBS’ mobile banking app which has a range of money management features and built-in credit score checker. The Select account is compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay and has the option for an arranged overdraft.

New service information being posted to current customers

I have had a few letters from the RBS in the run up to Christmas advertising new services they have for offers such as cash back on your monthly bills. I like being offered and informed about some of the services and options available but some of them did not really suit me or my buying and savings habits. I may make a change to one of the payed accounts in the future and use the 3% rewards on household bills they told me about in one of the letters. This will more than cover the cost of the new account and costs. It would be good for me if there was some way of giving them basic information about my buying and savings habits even if not the details online so that I don't get all the junk mail for offers what will never be any use to me. Excellent customer service

I have been a customer of RBS for over 10 years and have had no problems whatsoever with them. Their customer service is excellent and. whenever I have had a query about anything, they have always managed to sort things out for me. I purchased annual travel insurance from them and it was, by far, the cheapest insurance I could find. My husband is disabled and we both have multiple health concerns so were concerned about the cost to travel overseas. Thanks to RBS we could afford the insurance and the holiday. 42 years - No problems

RBS is a fantastic bank - I have never had a problem in 42 years - There are various ways to bank - In person, over the phone, on the internet or via an app. I use them all on different occasions. Reviewed on: 17th February 2016

Fine but not amazing!

I would love for my bank to be open on Saturdays however each time they ask me to come in for an annual review i have to take a day off work!!! So frustrating Reviewed on: 17th February 2016
