Security issues for online banking and slow customer service.

I have had online banking for six days. In those six days my account has been frozen twice for 'security reasons', one of which was because I sent a payment....... To get in touch with anyone to reinstate it you get passed about their phone system a fair bit before being put on hold for twenty minutes. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2015

In-branch staff at RBS are great & very helpful

I have remained a loyal customer of RBS because the in-branch staff provide a personal and very helpful service. They know you by name, and go out of their way to assist in any way at all. A trip to the branch is an enjoyable & easy experience. Although there have been one or two issues with RBS on-line Banking, overall I am very satisfied with its ease of use, easy access and flexibility. So far I have not been tempted to move Banks, despite some of the adverse publicity surrounding RBS in recent times. Reviewed on: 13th February 2015

Amazed by the kind and overwhelmingly helpful staff!

My first experience with this bank was when I set up my very first bank account, an experience I thought would be daunting. But the staff at RBS were amazing. They were completely understanding and I had an account set up in no time. it was a very positive experience and I actually look forward to going to the bank as I know that I am going to be greeted by the most courteous and friendly staff. Not bad but not great

Good customer service reps but if you dare step out of line or make a mistake e.g go in to an unaranged overdraft it costs you a fortune to put right and the fines seem to come out when there is no money in your account this making a vicious circle. Reviewed on: 15th January 2015

Good customer service from both the branch and online but have card issues!

I find the branch and online call centre to be more than helpful and efficient, however I have had issues with using my debit card of late. It crashes the pay at pump service at Tescos petrol station and have experienced issues with it authorising cash withdrawals and payments in shops on selected days despite funds being available. Luckily I had alternative cards to use but if not I would have been in a very difficult situation. Reviewed on: 9th October 2014

Overall ok service, but 1 percent cash back makes it a pretty good deal
