All policies have an uninsured driver promise protecting your no claims discount and no excess to pay if you're hit by an uninsured driver. Depending on the policy, there are extras you can add on to the policy to provide more protection.

Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Today I simply needed to inform Saga of a change to vehicle and hence registration plate update. The person I spoke to was very professional and the service was excellent. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name. First class customer service. Reviewed on: 1st August 2022

A complete let-down

I have always thought that Saga was a trusted name in insurance. However after the treatment I have received over the last three trying to settle a claim after someone crashed into us I cannot express anything but disappointment. Saga washed their hands completely of the case, referring us to their underwriters who bogged us down in a lengthy legal dispute even though the other driver admitted full responsibility. Just can't speak to them

I had an accident on Saturday. Reported it on Sunday and got a claim number. Told I would get a call on Monday. Now Thursday. Despite emailing them (No reply) and calling (told very busy, call back later and the line goes dead). So Far ZERO customer service. Reviewed on: 30th June 2022

Shocking service

One of their customers hit me. I’ve won my claim and been chasing my access for 5 WEEKS!! They ignore my emails and trying to speak to someone on the phone is IMPOSSIBLE. Good luck to anyone that takes out a premium with them or god forbid has an accident with their terrible drivers. Matter is still ongoing and I’ve now had to formally complain. Awful service. The worst customer service

All fine until I claimed for a windscreen replacement. They sent National Windscreens to do the work. Heavy handed fitter damaged my car dash while doing the job. Subsequently denied it of course. Saga said it wasn’t their problem and there was no basis for me to claim on my insurance for the damage their agent had inflicted. Outrageous. Reviewed on: 6th June 2022
