Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Excellent service and when you really need it they go out of their way to help you speedily and efficiently.

I had to put a claim in last year when another driver’s car hit my car. When I called Saga my claim was quickly dealt with and despite delays caused by Covid my claim was settled in a timely manner. Great service when required .

I chose to renew my car insurance with Saga although it was not the cheapest I knew if required then the service would be great . Unfortunately I did have to make a claim although the incident was not my fault. The service was fantastic and was a peace of mind and the repairs to my car was spot on , no short cuts , was given a courtesy car while mine was being repaired and no exspence spaired.
