THE LISTENING BANK BANK

Rubbish

Find another Bank. I used to have an Abbey National account until they bought it out. I now have to pay Spanish tax on the shares I acquired through Abbey. Reviewed on: 10th February 2022

Very poor customer service

Santander have systematic closed all our local branches. I never wanted to be their customer, but they bought Alliance & Leicester and Abbey National that we had accounts with. I don't like them as I feel neglected. Reviewed on: 10th February 2022

Outstanding service

Following the death of my wife I was very reluctant to set out on the road to sorting out our joint account and her personal accounts after reading the stories of peoples experiences in these circumstances. I can’t explain how amazed I was when after completing an online form it was all sorted with 48 hours - amazing! Reviewed on: 2nd February 2022

Good enough.

I used to have the 123 account for the interest on balances up to £20,000 before it was cut to miniscule levels where I then switched to a basic current account. I've had reasonably pleasant experiences in my dealings with Santander but nothing that especially stands out, I've had no experience that makes me feel particularly loyal but I've also found little to really complain about. Great basic current account

The account is simple to use and the Santander banking app makes it easy to send money to people or pay off my credit card. Reviewed on: 5th January 2022

Current account with no monthly fee

Switched from the 123 account when the interest rate went down significantly but the monthly fee didn't. The switch was very smooth and I kept the same account number. Reviewed on: 5th January 2022

Terrible bank.

They blocked my access to my account randomly after months of use. I can’t access my money. If I didn’t have another bank account elsewhere I’d be in trouble. I’ll never use Santander again. Reviewed on: 18th October 2021
