Stay Well Clear of Santander

The worst bank and customer service on the planet! I have had a lock placed on my account and the reason they gave me was that i have used contactless payment too much. Now considering i have spent the last 3 weeks in Singapore and never use the card as i dont want to pay their extortionate rates. I transfer from the bank to Wise. Now they have blocked it and tell me i have to buy something in Singapore and put my pin number in to release the block. Its the only way i can unblock it! Santander are a joke and i shall be closing the account down because of this. Complete failures! still waiting on the line for the fraud team to unblock this bar and been waiting over an hour so far. i am stuck in Singapore without access to my money. Bait and switch

Lures you in with a flashy reward scheme and a high interest rate, and then have progressively "amended" their terms and conditions to reduce the interest rate, remove rewards, cap benefits and overall make the account totally pointless. As of today the account has a £5 monthly fee, and the total 1|2|3 benefits are now capped at £5!! So what's the point? Shameful... Reviewed on: 1st February 2020

Once was great

The 123 account used to be great if you had money to save. However, from next month they're reducing their interest rate further to 1% and capping the cashback you can get. With an account fee of £5 a month, I'm not really sure it's really that great anymore. Reviewed on: 29th January 2020

Debt handling

The Mobile app and web version shows me the pending transactions due from my bank account. I am finding this really helpful in getting myself out of the debt. And more so avoiding bank charges that I may aquire. So I can raise funds to stop the charges commencing into my debts. 10/10 for there services for me, struggling like many others in getting out of the dreaded debt which most of us are in. 123 Lite Account for cashback on monthly bills

Joint account with cashback and easy to navigate website. Cashback on Council Tax, Telecommunications and Utilities easily outweighs the £1 a month fee. I changed from the main 123 account due to charges Reviewed on: 27th January 2020
