Stay Well Clear of Santander

The worst bank and customer service on the planet! I have had a lock placed on my account and the reason they gave me was that i have used contactless payment too much. Now considering i have spent the last 3 weeks in Singapore and never use the card as i dont want to pay their extortionate rates. I transfer from the bank to Wise. Now they have blocked it and tell me i have to buy something in Singapore and put my pin number in to release the block. Its the only way i can unblock it! Santander are a joke and i shall be closing the account down because of this. Complete failures! still waiting on the line for the fraud team to unblock this bar and been waiting over an hour so far. i am stuck in Singapore without access to my money. Not as attractive as it used to be

I haven't had any problems at all with my account, so can't comment on customer service from that side, so that's good. Mostly positive, my only criticism it that the account isn't as attractive as when I first joined due to the introduction of a monthly account fee. Reviewed on: 8th November 2018

Fantastic account

Santander 123 account offer multiple benefits. i get 1% back on my Santander mortgage along with cashback from my household bills. The in-app offers at retailers and food outlets are an excellent benefit as i can get money back from eating out and going places with the family. I would definitely recommend this Santander account. Worth the monthly fee

I have had the 123 account for around 5 years now and have earnt myself over £1000 in cashback from my mortgage and paying utility bills from the account. I have always found the customer service to be very good and the staff in branch extremely helpful and friendly Reviewed on: 8th November 2018
