Stay Well Clear of Santander

The worst bank and customer service on the planet! I have had a lock placed on my account and the reason they gave me was that i have used contactless payment too much. Now considering i have spent the last 3 weeks in Singapore and never use the card as i dont want to pay their extortionate rates. I transfer from the bank to Wise. Now they have blocked it and tell me i have to buy something in Singapore and put my pin number in to release the block. Its the only way i can unblock it! Santander are a joke and i shall be closing the account down because of this. Complete failures! still waiting on the line for the fraud team to unblock this bar and been waiting over an hour so far. i am stuck in Singapore without access to my money. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SANTANDER

4 times I had problems with debit card. Santander very slow to react and lengthy phone calls required to resolve situation. Refused to take any responsibility for their own errors and rude attitude. Reviewed on: 15th February 2024

Great Banking at your finger tips

the 123 account fitted my needs, but it also introduced me to the Edge account which was linked to a savings account. As we had a joint account we could put £8000 away for a year earning 7%. That's great! AT the end of the year I will look elsewhere. I stick with Santander because they are solid, reliable and never let me down Reviewed on: 14th February 2024

Keep your money organised easily

The website is clearly organised and makes managing money painless. You can see the status of any linked accounts such as mortgage and savings at a glance so that you feel fully in control. Upon logging off it gives you a summary of your activity which is helpful. Reviewed on: 11th February 2024

Local Branch Phone Number is a Premium Rate Number

My local Santander branch in West Bridgford, Nottingham left a message to ring them. I rang and a 13 minute call, for some of which I was on hold, cost £4, as it is a premium rate 05511 number. Why are Santander using Premium rate numbers? Reviewed on: 3rd January 2024
