The process for setting up the ISA was long winded,... The process for setting up the ISA was long winded, and the call centre did not alwats help. It took a long time for them to get the account opened. Reviewed on: 15th September 2025

Santander have a range of ISAs with a choice of fixed rates and variable rates.

The Santander Easy Access ISA needs a minimum deposit of £500 to open the account. Santander offer a one year or two year fixed rate ISA. You can manage your account via telephone banking, branch or by online and mobile banking.

I won't be using Santander again.

I won't be using Santander again. Firstly, the website looks like something from the late 90's. Strangely, the 'Close my account' button doesn't work. They are also obsessed with fraud prevention, with regular emails being sent and relentless security messages every time you want to transfer any money. Reviewed on: 12th May 2024

Dishonest

Almost one year later and Santander have still not fulfilled their T&Cs – I’m still owed a £50 voucher for an ISA transfer over to them. I have followed this up with them multiple times with still no luck in them fulfilling their obligations. The time and effort involved is not worth the £50 I am trying to retrieve. They also make it incredibly difficult to contact them – no option of an email. Instead you have to wait a stupid amount of time to be connected to someone on the phone. You have to go through a ridiculous automated process and just try your luck to get connected to an actual human being. I will move my ISA next month and never bank with Santander again Reviewed on: 20th March 2024

Bumbling incompetent service

Bumbling incompetent service - really the worst catalogue of disastrous errors I've ever come across with a financial institution. And an escalation to Customer Relations fixed absolutely nothing. Ombudsman, here I come! Reviewed on: 15th February 2024

nightmare of accessing

Expensive to set up. Then for the 2 months afterwards i have not been able to access it online. Locked for "technical reasons" they dont understand Every telephone inquiry leads to a promise that someone will call in a few days. Never do. At the time of writing this i have been waiting 30 minutes for a phone call answer. Also a pain is the fact that the investment hub is not available to manage online if your status is a Power of Attorney for the owner. You have to write letters requesting transfers and this takes at least a week. I made a complaint several weeks ago but never heard anything back. Reviewed on: 3rd October 2023

Worse investment decision ever

Cost me a lot of money for advice, spent over 1000 on fees for the luxury of my investment losing 4000 over past 2 years and falling week by week. Will never invest with Santander again and hoping to get some money back before pulling out completely and doing a bank switch Reviewed on: 18th August 2023
