Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

nice people

Very helpful polite people. Wasn't judge given loads of support. They don't have a magic wand and dont sort all you problems straight away. You need to work at it. Helpful, understanding, and really helped me

When I was struggling I didn't know what to do, until I heard about StepChange, so I contacted them and they were so helpful and asked me some questions to find the best option for me. They suggested a debt management plan to help put all my payments into one monthly payment and now I'm feeling less stressed and it's taken a weight off my shoulders. I can't thank them enough. Fresh Start

I was struggling with debts for so long that it was eating away all the good things in my life. But it all changed when I decided to speak get help on the StepChange website. All the information was up-to-date, accurate, clear and easy to understand. Setting up a DMP was a breeze because the advisors were incredibly supportive and genuine. Getting a DMP was a fresh start for me and it took all the worries and stress away. A huge help

I'm in alot of debt and was paying a ridiculous amount back per month to each of my creditors. Massively depressed and was barely getting by however my manager recommended Step Change to me and they have reduced my monthly payments down to a 3rd of what I was paying giving me the ability to live within my means and pay back my creditors. Any issues their customer service team are very friendly, very helpful and quick to aid you. 120% would recommend them if your facing financial difficulties. Thank you team Step Change. Non judgemental
