Help when it's needed

I worked as a plasterer for more years than I care to mention and have never really been in debt I couldn't handle. Then out of the blue I felt unwell. I was taken for tests and was given 6 months to live. Happily that was over a year ago but I couldn't pay my bills. Thanks to Stepchange they negotiated a plan and managed to get several debts wiped clean. My advice is if you find yourself in a similar situation to at least give them a ring. I got myself into a real issue and if it wasn't for the help and understanding of step change, I don't know where I would be! They spoke to me, and sorted out my Finance and got me back on track, and every year I they get in touch and do a review and see what I can pay back thuis year!
