Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Feeling overwhelmed

I was feeling overwhelmed as my credit card payments was consuming a lot of my finances. I was directed by a friend to seek assistance from StepChange. It was the best thing I did. Be Debt free

Was very low and very worried how i managed to be in debt for over £20,000 felt really awful and kept giving money away to someone. One of my creditors suggested Stepchange,it took me 10 years but i never looked back It was hard only at first Stepchange were very supportive and gave me a plan and gave me my life back,I cant thank them enough. I was in to deep, like treading water, whilst drowning.
