Stepchange is the understanding, none criticising option for anyone who has unfortunately fell into debt I would sure recommend them. Reviewed on: 3rd August 2021

Step Change reassured me there was a way out of debt.

I felt terrible fear and anxiety when i had to unexpectedly give up working to care for my husband. I had loans I expected to be able to pay off and felt guilty and almost criminal to be in a position where i could not afford to repay loans. Fantastic charity who helped me so much! The way they are always able to keep you grounded, and talk to you like an actual human and not just a number! The sense of relief that you have when they are helping you is second to none! They also deal with the creditors and keep you updated every step of the way. StepChange are a charity and do not charge users for their services. They provide practical advice for people experiencing financial difficulties, offering solutions and taking away the worry. The support is ongoing and always available when you need it. Financial problems can seriously affect mental health and StepChange take away a lot of the immediate pressures and worries.
