StepChange Debt charity Review

I contacted StepChange a few months ago to get help with my finances. I have struggled with debts for the past 2 years,and I was scared and embarrassed to discuss my financial worries with anybody. I am so relieved I contacted StepChange who, aside from recently setting up my Debt Management Plan, have offered non-judgmental, professional help and have been there for me every step of the way (by phone/email) to support me and reply to any queries I might have. It's a long way to go before I can be officially debt-free, however I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel (almost!). I wake up every morning knowing that no creditors are chasing me for unpaid bills, and this to me is one of the best feelings ever - the anxiety is gone. I was overwhelmed by my debt and couldn't see a way out. A friend mentioned debt management. The lady I spoke to at StepChange was wonderful - so kind and helpful and understanding - not at all judgemental. My debt management plan has, quite literally, changed my life. I was constantly worring and having to get into more debt because I was spending so much money trying to pay off debts! My debt is being paid off slowly but surely and I can sleep at night. Changed my life around

Made me feel so much better about.my situation, improving my mental health. Didn't know which way to turn and was getting deeper and deeper into debt because of the interest. Less stressful
