Terrible: ended up with IN10

Very disappointed. Tried emailing in no claims bonus.. Tescos had no email address that worked had to send no claims by post (Twice) which apparently they eventually received a day late so cancelled my insurance and did not inform me. They did however manage to take my payment. No surprise there! Long story short ended up with a IN10 after driving for 2 weeks unknowingly uninsured. Always been a honest working person last thing I expected was to be pulled in the back of a police car with my little boy.... Be careful!! Lesson learnt here!! Reviewed on: 15th October 2016

Just awful.

Crashed car on 25th Nov. STILL not even a collection date let alone a repair. Car now sitting probably will seize up. Been told because its DRIVEABLE that it's not a priority. I've told them car didn't feel right from get go. Have access to another car so why would I drive one with front end damage? I aint no mechanic, but I know the front end doesn't feel right why would I risk wrecking car even more than it already is? Been told January most likely for repair. Joke that they cany even collect it. Will never go with Tesco again. Just a s*** service overall but still happy taking my money. Reviewed on: 14th December 2022

Worst company I've ever dealt with

On hold for 1 hour 20 minutes, answered, transferred me to the "correct team" went back to start was on hold 30 minutes. Answered and told me they would call me back in 2 minutes due to not being unable to hear from the account handler. That was 40 minutes ago, Been on hold for a further 30 minutes traying to call them back. Absolute joke. Reviewed on: 12th December 2022

Very Poor Service - would not recommend

We had a car accident on 24 November, luckily we had a contract with the AA who transported the undriveable vehicle to our home. It was not collected until 30 November with no courtesy car made available to us. This is now 9 days later and we have had no communication from Tesco at all. We have had no verification as to whether the car it to be written off or repaired and still no courtesy car. It is impossible to try and get through to anyone on the call centre (we waited 60 minutes before finally giving up). Tesco have not only lost our insurance business but also my weekly shopping. Terrible custoner service

Expect to be on hold for an hour repeatedly with this company as you do all the work yourself chasing up courtesy cars and taking pictures of damage i didnt expect to have to deal with it all myself. Reviewed on: 1st December 2022

In Mid July this year we bought a gorgeous BMW X3 (Not new we are not that rich) and looked for car insurance. We are Tesco Club Card holders and so were offered a discount and thought it must be OK it is TESCO after all. Oh how wrong could we be! 2 weeks ago we woke up to our car being stolen from the driveway of our house. Called Police and Insurance. On the policy I had taken up the 'Loan Car' option. The police told me the same day they had found my car but it was part of a criminal investigation and had been smashed up. I told the insurance to find out that they will only provide said loan car when the police release the vehicle (Today) when they arrnage for their garage to pick it up (Could be another week) and then their mechanic decides if it is a write off of fixable (Could be another week). So I am 2 weeks past the date the car was stolen and no where near a loan car (Possibly another 2 weeks) before I get a car. Back in lockdown due to no car in the country. Tesco need to be clear about what the terms mean and more understanding when these things happen. I for one will not come back once this is completed and I urge anyone to ensure they completely understand what they pay for that Tesco Discount for Card Holders!!!!! Reviewed on: 23rd November 2022

Appalling company

Involved in a crash 4 weeks ago. Car was a total loss, Tesco will not pay the garage storage costs, even though they have known which garage it is being held at from the outset. They have not arranged collection, not sent out an engineer to access it! Constantly chasing them up, given inconsistent advice by different people. I cancelled my insurance over the phone but according to them I did not make it very clear so they kept charging me for the insurance. Now they are asking me to pay for a month although I was already insured somewhere else. THIEVES! Reviewed on: 4th November 2022
