Tesco auto-renewed my car insurance policy without my consent. I believe auto-renewals should be prohibited by law. Martin Lewis always advises us to compare policies annually, so it’s baffling why auto-renewals are still an option. They should be banned. The policy was also overpriced. When I contacted them the same day to cancel and informed them that I sold the car 10 days ago, they told me I would need to pay a £25.50 cancellation fee. Good to have an actual person to speak to if needed

Dreadful useless portal used to check progress of repair. Incomprehensible drivel with appalling use of the English language and often just wrong. lead time for repair indicated 8 weeks so tried to go elsewhere but then you don’t get courtesy car. Paint shop customer service sucked although quality if job satisfactory. system riddled with fault demand answered phone 1 time in 4. Under staffed office working with crap systems. Excellent car insurance

From the moment I contacted Tesco insurance about the theft of my car, I was treated like a valued customer. The claim process was very easy. Communication was good throughout and text messages updating me about any messages. I was also able to submit any evidence plus various paperwork via a text link. Within 3 working days of submitting my claim, I received a text message saying I had an offer. The offer was very fair and actually more than I was expecting to be offered. Payment took one week to come through but apparently this was because the settlement amount was over £20k so had to go through manager approvals. Overall I’m very happy with the outcome to what was a terrible situation- no one wants to have their car stolen. Totally recommend Tesco and so grateful to them for the way in which they handled my claim. Reviewed on: 31st July 2024

Disgusting shocking call centre useless

Disgusting. Customer Service zero. When call the call centre no managers or supervisors available. Will ring you back no one does. Errors and conflicting information given by every operative. Car insurance automatic renewal DONT they do not carry forwards all previous details. Absolutely shocking service. Reviewed on: 2nd July 2024
