The Triodos Personal Current Account has a low monthly fee.

You can manage your account via an app and there’s a Bristol-based contact team if you need support. Triodos don’t offer an overdraft facility or immediate faster payments. You’ll get text message alerts to help you manage your money and online statement.

Triodos Bank is a unique ethical bank that does right by its customers, its community and humanity in general. Their openness and principled ethical lending combined with excellent current and savings account products make choosing them a no brainier for any conscientious consumer. When Smile was taken over by hedge funds I looked around to find an alternative and found Triodos. One of my favourite things about Triodos is the "Community" / "Know where your money goes" section of the app and learning what local businesses Triodos have funded. Reviewed on: 2nd January 2020
