Ethical

Unlike almost every other bank. Somewhere I feel my money is doing good. Reviewed on: 15th January 2022

There is a hypocritical £3 a month charge (fair fee)

There is a £3 a month fee for the current account unlike most other current accounts. The reason Triodos bank states it does this is so that it is a “fair fee” to make the bank fairer for financially vulnerable customers who may acquire overdraft charges. However if you are a customer with no money in your current account the fee will result in a un-arranged overdraft. This seems counter to Triodos “fair fee” reasoning, this hypocritical fee results in financially vulnerable customers being pushed unknowingly into a overdraft. Reviewed on: 15th August 2024

Triodos are great

Triodos are great - the App is very easy to use and I can get through to a human easily on the phone! I love knowing my money is being used to do good and not funding fossil fuels or destruction of the Amazon. Reviewed on: 2nd August 2024

Helps me sleep at night

It is so nice being with a bank i can trust to do the right thing and i know arent destroying the planet behind my back. And if a bank cant look after the planet its customers live on then it isn't looking after its customers. Reviewed on: 25th May 2024

I've enjoyed banking with Triodos.

I've enjoyed banking with Triodos. Their ethical approach to banking and investing is refreshing and aligns perfectly with my own. Their app is easy to use and their card is made of renewable resources. Only issue I've had is that my card doesn't always work when trying to make a contactless payment and they're not yet Apple pay ready, but those are minor inconveniences that I am sure will be addressed as the bank grows. Peace of mind

I moved banks due as I wanted peace of mind about ethics and great customer service, I wasn’t disappointed. I enjoy seeing transactions going out on the same day, unlike any previous bank account. I no longer need to spend ages reconciling my account as a consequence. I feel safe either banking online or using the app given the great security features. Reviewed on: 4th May 2024

Positive Impact and excellent customer service

There isn’t another bank in the UK making as much positive impact in society as Triodos. Knowing my money is being used towards this is the key reason I bank with them. But the customer service is also excellent - their staff are responsive, friendly and helpful. The mobile app has seen many improvements over the past year and gives me everything I need to bank easily. Reviewed on: 14th April 2024
