Ethical Bank

Have never had any problem with Triodos, you can always talk to someone if you need to. No hanging around in a queue on the phone. If they are busy you just request a ring back and they always come back to you. Reviewed on: 15th January 2022

Banking for good

We transferred several accounts from Barclays, the whole process has been smooth, the app works great and we feel that our money is working for good rather than being used to prop up the fossil fuel industry. Reviewed on: 22nd April 2025

Money is Not Value Free

I'm happy to pay bank charges to a bank that I know is investing my money thoughtfully and ethically. Triodos is one of the very few banks in the UK which offers this assurance. At a time when the world is racing towards global environmental collapse, I want to do everything I can to insure the money I earn is used to encourage community and safegaurd the planet. Humanity and consideration above greed.

I’ve not had cause to contact customer services. It’s more about how it feels being a customer of Triodos. I’m not adding to the terrible issues affecting humanity by investing in an ethical bank. Reviewed on: 22nd April 2025

Security checks

I like the security that every time I make a significant transaction, or new payment, I receive an email and text message from the bank informing me that this payment has been made. Reviewed on: 22nd April 2025

I value their strongly ethical stance

I value their strongly ethical stance, which is what drew me to Triodos in the first place. Very easy to set up the account, excellent user-friendly banking app, efficient customer service, always friendly and helpful when needed. I appreciate they've now added in apple pay. A very big plus is their fraud protection which seems to be well balanced: ample to ensure a feeling of security against fraud, yet not so over-the-top as to be thoroughly annoying. Very different to the Co-op for instance, which has such tight security that it delayed important payments for 2 days with dire consequences. At Triodos i have only ever had positive experiences in this regard. It's a tip-top bank! Reviewed on: 22nd April 2025
