A Bit Fiddly to Manage

The worst experience ever

I have never experienced customer service this appalling. Virgin money transferred an isa into an account with another bank that had been closed. I have been attempting to get it back for two weeks. Call centre people are pleasant and try to help but the ISA team are unresponsive, inefficient, and uncommunicative. The complaints department are not interested in responding until your complaint has been lodged for 2 weeks. That’s a long time when they have lost your life savings. ISA

They failed to transfer my ISA from a lower interest paying Virgin Money easy access account to a higher interest paying Virgin Money account. Customer service were very blunt and unhelpful. Reviewed on: 10th June 2023

Best rate available

I recently opened an e-ISA with Virgin Money as it is the currently the best rate available for a 1yr fixed rate. Opening was an easy process, as well as the transferal of my existing ISA over. Reviewed on: 5th June 2023

Dreadful complain handling

They made mistakes transferring an ISA due to problems with their data and were unhelpful identifying and correcting the problem, costing me time and interest. Now over 8 months since I complained. It seems they made a decision behind closed doors three months ago but to date refuse to tell me what it was. Resorted to ombudsman in the end, but, customer service aside, cannot think this is an efficient way to run a company. I won't use them again as they don't seem to be able to run basic processes. VIRGIN brilliant ISA Rates!

If you are an existing Virgin Bank customer (includes Clydesdale Bank) then there are some high paying short term cash ISAs available that are market leading and well worth a look. I have always found banking with them very straightforward & their staff are friendly and helpful too. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed! Reviewed on: 6th April 2023
