Application for 2nd card ridiculously bureaucratic

Opened account as I fly to USA regularly and so wanted to collect points for flights. Needed 2nd card for husband. We have been married for 20 years and lived at same address. Have joint cards with Amex and mortgage etc. on the electoral roll and both gave good credit ratings. They want you to send your passport and driving license or verified copy signed by civil servant, actuary etc. done all that despite time consuming and over the top. They didn’t need that info for me to open the card account for myself so why is it needed fir additional card holder? Now claim not good enough quality copy so need additional or original docs. 20 mins on phone to find this out. Done with it now. Not worth it. Taken off my Apple Pay and will stop using the account. Easy and simple process

Looked to complete a balance transfer with my Virgin credit card via their app. Got partially through the process and then was asked to contact them. Had to wait about 5 minutes but the advisor was extremely helpful and then took me through the rest of the application. It was simple and easy to do and now I just need to wait for the approval via an email. Reviewed on: 25th July 2024

virgin altanic credit card

Held virgin altanic credit card for years since 2019/2020 just for collecting points for daily shopping. It is free and wider accepted as it is a Mastercard. When I visited France in May, I discovered the card has a free spending within EU zone, that just made my day as I have just closed my Barclay card no long ago. Very handy, which means outside of UK spending also can collection points, what a great value! Reviewed on: 7th June 2024

Poor communication

I endured many phone calls and many errors and generally broken lines of communication and wrong information. Despite many letters phone calls and emails I was compensated for their errors but was left very scarred by the experience would never use them again. Reviewed on: 4th June 2024

Twice ( and now I’m on holiday ) my card has been blocked , access to the website blocked and not once a text or a warning. And we think a cashless society is the way to go. Not with Virgin it isn’t. A reputed company.

A reputed company. I've few of their products and all their customer service is always excellent. Thought their products can get sometimes expensive. I've lost my card few times and got it straight away. Someone tried to use it and it was blocked. Thank god for that. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2024

Appalling company

Gave a wrong password by mistake on phone back in February. Virgin money have requested I post in ID and proof of address. I have done this twice. I also went in a Virgin money branch and they emailed it to them. They still say they haven't got it. Rude unhelpful staff. Had the phone put down a few times. They refuse to send statements but have taken large sums by direct debit. The only reason I care is that this account should be in credit due to a holiday refund. Despite complaints and numerous phone calls they are refusing to close the account and refund the money. Worst company I have ever dealt with. I am at a loss what to do next.
