Abysmal

Completed online closure of my account. Received an email saying it wasn't possible to do it as it had an outstanding balance EVEN though it was clearly showing NIL. Completed another form again yesterday and submitted it again online. I want confirmation so I did online chat... 53 people ahead of me waiting to be answered... As repeatedly quoted this is the quickest way to resolve your queries?!!!!!! Rang to speak to an adviser, I after several menus and 7 minutes later I was informed the quickest way to resolve my request was via the credit card app!! The call was then dropped. Increasingly frustrating.. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND. Appalling the way customers are treated. Richard Branson... Please take note... Reviewed on: 2nd June 2023

Credit Card limit decreased

Good Morning been on to Virgin so they know this is coming, Two weeks ago I took money out the credit card for my sons birthday, Not much to be honest but according to the team it highlighted critical activity on my CC so took my limit and decreased it by 6700, Spoke to an advisor who said sorry cannot do anything about it I need to contact virgin by post with an appeals letter, I am like you having a laugh, Never late with a payment never missed any paid more to keep limit down now shocked to have lost a limit due to taking money out at a ATM there is nothing in the terms and conditions dictating this, Disgusted by this Reviewed on: 26th May 2023

Great card - but phone line needs improvement.

I really like the card but I had to call them today. My word - there are numerous recorded messages. I reckon it took 6 or 7 minutes before I could speak to anyone. They then told me to call back because I got the security questions wrong! I'll do it another day I think. Reviewed on: 14th May 2023

Can't make payments

On 6th April, throughout the afternoon UK time, I have been trying to make a payment. Rejected for no reason. This is the fourth time I've had trouble paying this company (using that company's app on my phone) in the past few months. The first two times I had to ring up, remove a block, and try again. The third time (15th March) I asked them to add the company to the safe list, which they agreed. Payment still failed and went through the whole process again on the 16th, finally getting the payment through. Today, have tried seven times and been on the phone with the fraud department for an hour, passed from pillar to post. No one has any idea why the payment won't go through. IT IS TO AN EXTREMELY REPUTABLE FINANCIAL INSTITUTION, AN ESTABLISHED UK BRAND. There is no reason to have this much difficulty. Reviewed on: 6th April 2023

My application with Virgin money for my credit card was quick and simple, plus you get to choose a card design which makes it feel more personal!
