Just godawful.

Just godawful. Consistently on hold for at least 40 mins. One alert where they asked me to contact them. After over an hour on hold, I gave up and tried another number. They looked at the account and said there was nothing wrong - although they verified that the alert had indeed come from them. Then online account was blocked - again, spent ages on hold on a Sunday when their hours were showing as open. But then it had to be referred to another department and they weren't open until Monday. So tried again on Monday and got everything resolved in about 5 mins - but was on hold for 45 mins to get there. So many problems with their new system. I really hope they get this sorted soon because it's a miserable experience having to deal with their very inaccessible customer support and appalling wait times. Reviewed on: 15th August 2022

I cant do anything with my current account online. You can only check your balance. You cant move money cancel direct debits or anything else Reviewed on: 13th January 2019

I have an isa and a current account with virgin,opened just over a year ago. Unlike other banks I don’t get hassled about my accounts . Information is sent on a regular basis but the customer is allowed to make their own choice having received very good advice. The staff are professional, helpful and efficient at all times. Of course t's easy to bank online nowadays, and the Virgin Money site's great, but I love to visit my Haymarket London branch - full of really kind, friendly and knowledgeable staff, involved in honest and principled business dealings, all shown off in stylish décor with a lovely coffee! Regularly visit the Kendal branch - Each and everyone of the staff absolutely brilliant and no stuffiness or looks like the big banks. There to help and actually human - don't feel like you are being judged - no humming when they access your account or signs that you are in the naughty chair/corner! Reviewed on: 14th December 2018

I've used these for years and have always had good service. They realised before I did that my card had been hacked. I got all money taken back with days and extra security. My only criticism is they do more internet banking. Reviewed on: 9th December 2018
