DO NOT USE THE TRAVEL INSURANCE

Very poor service, dont no what they are talking about in relation to pdf/screenshots, dont no about nhs app and name on documents. Pay you compensation when you have not accepted it and wont answer emails explaining why they put it in your bank account after. Reviewed on: 8th October 2024

Don't even bother

Don't even know where to start..had travel insurance with axa for me and my family. Unfortunately had to overstay for 3 weeks and spend that time with my son at the hospital. We've been assured by many agents ( and also insurance documents) our personal expenses are covered..plane tickets, unused hotel stay, taxi ride to and from hospital and much needed shop receipts..and you know what? Scam artists

STAY AWAY FROM AXA AS THEY ARE THE WORSE

Filed a straight forward claim and provided them with all the details on 3rd of July 2023. Provided them with all the paper work, invoices and everything they asked for but after 4 weeks of filing the claim, I was told i filled the wrong form online (which was filled initially on their advisors instruction) and the claim is refused and I have to fill it again. Hospital fees

My wife was an outpatient at Sarasota Memorial Hospital whilst on holiday in the USA.In that time she was given pills,fluids and a CT scan.Total time 5 1/2 hours.I spoke to AXA who gave me advice and settled the claim very soon after return to the UK.Staff were wonderful and kept us updated.Well done AXA. Very slow claims process and unsatisfactory result

Hang your heads in shame

Well surprise surprise I’ve received an email stating blurry documents!!! I knew I’d get it as it’s all over the internet and reviews that’s what happens with AXA Travel Insurance. I’ve also had the 5 to 10 days statement too. Again another complaint on your reviews. I’ve spoken to a lady this morning who has raised a complaint which can take up to 8 weeks. Scam artists or incompetents?

AXA is either totally incompetent or they are scammers. Initially, they were quick to confirm that the event would be covered. However, upon receiving medical documentation, they started making excuses. After confronting them about it and translating some of the documents (since they apparently cannot read) they stopped replying altogether. Unethical company. Total scammers

I wish I had read these reviews previously. Do not go near this company. 100% scammers. Everything written by others has been my experience too. I made a legitimate claim for an overseas medical emergency and they have made the process as painful and difficult as possible. They don’t answer emails, phone lines are near impossible to get through on and they have missed every deadline or broken every promise along the way.
