Barclaycard Platinum can't be used with Google Pay?

As the title suggests, I'm more than a little disappointed that this credit card can only be used with Apple Pay and not Google Pay. And then to add to my woes I discover that the Contactless Mobile facility of the Barclaycard app will cease to function at the end of June '23! Difficult to contact

I cannot pay on line with my new Barclaycard and even though I have spoken to them after a very lengthy wait to get through it is still not sorted. Reviewed on: 6th April 2023

Pestered in the post

Had credit card number of years ago, was advised in order to close would have to go into high street branch (which is nowhere near me) so I left the card with 0 balance. Every few weeks would receive junk mail with offers of new cards and better rates which i had no interest in. eventually managed to close via app very recently which ended up being so easy and simple.
