A valuable local mutual financial institution.

I have saved with Bath Building Society for more than 20 years and until recently also had a mortgage with them. Bath Building Society is a valuable mutual financial institution, looking after the financial needs of people in and around the city of Bath and also offering competitive savings products throughout the UK. The BIBS savings ISA for children has regularly been in the top five, giving good rates of interest to our young savers to encourage them to save at an early age. BIBS is a Mutual Society with no shareholders to satisfy, only looking after the interests of its members. BIBS has a loyal and dedicated team of employees and a strong management team. I have no hesitation in voting for Bath Building Society in the British Bank Awards. Reviewed on: 9th March 2022

Friendly efficient service

Although I only deal with the Bath Building Society by email or occasionally by phone, they are very efficient, friendly and helpful. Also there are real people here in the UK to talk to when you call in, something which is becoming rarer nowadays, and something that I appreciate. I'd be happy to recommend them. A helping hand

I changed my savings account with BIBS to a 3 year bond and had trouble doing that. The staff ar BIBS helped me through every step. Whenever I visit their office they are always friendly and helpful. Reviewed on: 9th March 2022

Bath Building Society is really focussed on using local money to help local investments. Whilst the government talks about "taking back control", it has reduced the amount of money local authorities have to spend from government grants, council tax, and business rates by 16% since 2010.
