Trustworthy local institution

I like the idea that BIBS is a local firm that engages with the community in my home town. I like having a local branch (Moorland Rd) that is easy to visit and has staff who have always been friendly and helpful ... and I like the fact that I have been able to open a savings account for my (Bath-resident) grandson again with a local firm that I trust to continue well into the future. Staff are extremely helpful and explain products clearly. Bath Building society provides a variety of useful accounts . Face to face is very important to the older generation, it would be very useful for us to place only into bonds more than once a year. Reviewed on: 28th May 2025

Using a Power of Attorney to open an account

I opened an account for my mother under a Power of Attorney. The staff in your Wood Street branch were excellent as this transaction was more complicated than usual. They were very welcoming and very helpful. Reviewed on: 14th May 2025
