Poor service

This company locked me out of my account and failed to answer the phone for 2 days, they cost me £500 and have done nothing to rectify the situation, I'm now being forced to take my complaint higher, so much for being a loyal customer, I'm closing my accounts, shame on this disrespectful organisation, if they had done their job properly I wouldn't be in this situation. I set up a student account with Nationwide for going to University and they were really helpful in setting it up, the account was flexible and fair and with it they provided a student box of goodies! Nationwide are always so helpful and the staff are always really friendly and the banking app is easy and clear to use. Reviewed on: 14th August 2022

Alway very reliable. On line banking and app are easy to use. They seem to take security very seriously. Any problems are resolved very quickly. Friendly helpful call centre. Nice local Nationwide branch. Reviewed on: 25th July 2022

Good service, great app & friendly staff in-branch

After being extremely let-down by Natwest, who took over £2000 in charges from me (despite my being in financial hardship due to illness), I changed my current account to Nationwide. The process was very easy & I was able to switch to an account without an overdraft or fees. The app works well (easy to navigate & reliable) and they warn you well in advance on the login page if there's going to be maintenance. I liked being able to set up alerts that tell me when my account balance gets down to my chosen amount, and they also message me if there's a Direct Debit pending & not enough money in the account to pay it (and it gives me until 2.30pm to pay money in to cover it). The staff in my local branch are always helpful & welcoming, plus their cashpoint outside also takes deposits so you can pay money in at any time, even out of hours. I haven't had any experience of trying to get help with any issues, so I can't report anything about online or phone customer service. Reviewed on: 8th July 2022
