Slow and limited

If you’re looking for a basic current account, this will work fine. I also like the friendly approach from the Co-op, and ethical status. However, phone hold times often get in the excess of 1 hour and there’s no other way to communicate. The app is very limited in what you can do, and everything is just slow. There’s also little perks to go alongside this current account. Reviewed on: 11th March 2024

Switching after 20 years

Not accessible enough in regards to customer care opening hours Worst App ever never updates quick enough and has no view of pending transactions App is constantly down for maintenance yet nothing changes Poor online service Starting to think they have very lax online security and could be getting hacked due the amount of times the app and online banking goes down Reviewed on: 3rd April 2023

Bank was excellent but deteriorated in the past 10 years. Takes an hour or two to get through to customer services by telephone. Sometimes cut off. App ok. Compain and dismissed automatically and always "upheld" only still using as been with them for just short of 50 years. Interest rates deplorable compared to competition unlike previous. Sadly back to the days they were a piggy bank. What a shame. They need to get their act together. Can't always hide behind ethical banking to exploit customers by token interest and rewards. Does everything I need

Have been with Co-Operative Bank for a decade now. Never had any bother. They were helpful and compassionate when I was a victim of fraud last year. The app works well and my money has been handled fine. No causes for complaint in ten years. Would recommend. Reviewed on: 10th March 2023

Ethical and efficient bank

I moved my current account to the Cooperative Bank as it scored highly as an ethical bank. I have been very happy with the service. The ap is easy to use, staff are efficient and helpful. I pay a monthly fee for my current account and am very happy with the additional benefits particularly the annual holiday insurance and access to airport lounges. Reviewed on: 9th March 2023
