Disgusting service

I am so disgusted with the service I have received, and am now going down the complaints route to have my issue fully investigated. If you’re thinking of purchasing this policy, DON’T! If you’ve already purchased this policy, it is not impossible to get your full compensation, but unfortunately it takes a considerable amount of time and patience. I finally received my full refund after spending around 20 hours on the phone over the course of the last month. The agents either don’t understand you, or they are pretending to not understand you in order to squeeze as much money from customers as possible. I had to provide my accommodation invoices several times since making my claim at the end of July, despite providing them in the original claim. I was only reimbursed less than 1/3 of my net accommodation cost, and was declined the fair payment due to ‘Dual insurance,’ which was a bold-faced lie as I never once asked for any of the partial refund I had received on my Airbnb prior to making the claim. I don’t know how this company is still operating, as they’re clearly making it as difficult as possible for you to claim - no one answers the phone until 1 hour of being on hold, and the line frequently goes silent at the 30 & 60 mins mark, meaning you have to start again. Fraud travel insurance company

Waste of money. I was not even able to submit a claim as their claim portal does not work. After talking to customer support, they provided no help and are absolute scammers. They also went back on there policy wording and denied the claim presented. Avoid this company if you do not want to lose your money. Reviewed on: 14th September 2022

This is a fraud. They will not pay legitimate claims. Avoid.

I never post reviews but felt compelled to warn others to avoid Coverwise at all costs. This is a total sham. I have all my documents and the case is about as black & white as possible. All medical docs, covid tests, hotel bills, credit card statements...nothing missing. I very organized, honest and diligent. However, Coverwise & AXA have been dragging my claim out for 8 months now. They keep asking for the same documents over and over, which i guess buys them another month to "review" the documents. Their customer service is appalling and minimum wait time is 1 hour to speak to anyone but leaving that aside, they simply won't make a formal decision or pay. Total nightmare. Claiming on travel insurance

Absolute scam - phone queue is 1hour and then always cuts off just after you speak

Been waiting for a refund on a flight for 7 months. Have had 2 emails in total, 3 months between them. Everytime you phone the queue is 1hour, then you speak to a guy in india, he says there are connection issues, and then the phone line gets cut or goes silent mid conversation. Awful. They don't give you back the money you deserve!

Case number: GB1-22-002414 When using the policy, the service has been terrible! Not only did they ask for one piece of evidence at a time, but instead of asking all at once, it took 3 months. Now, it's been 9 months, and no reply whatsoever, it's been months we have chased but none replies..!!! Scary. Where is my money, it's almost 4,000 GBP we need back..!! Please..!!! They don't give you the money they promise!!!

When using the policy is terrible! Not only did they ask for one evidence at a time, instead of asking all at once, so it took 3 months. They only asked because we were chasing. Now, they have ignored our emails, calls, for 9 months! I need my 4,000 GBP back! Reviewed on: 4th September 2022

Unbelievably bad

I echo everyone below regarding claiming. 3 attempts to get through today, 4 hours on hold, cut off each time. I am writing this so people know how to beat these con of a company. Open a case with Resolver. Its weeks of additional process but they will have no choice but to go to deadlock with ombudsman if no satisfactory response. Don't give up. 1 year almost waiting for a claim to be cleared by coverwise for money.

They give worse excuse if they answer. But generally they don't answer your calls on the phone for hours. No response to emails. Don't go this company they never help you. You not covered for expenses that was not your fault Reviewed on: 23rd August 2022

An absolute shambles

My claim dates back to March when I tore a tendon in my foot. Scheduled to fly to Portugal on medical advice from both chiropractor and GP advised to cancel which I did and then my woes started. All documentation provided sent and ignored. Calls made to discuss with call centre in Mexico usually ends in being cut off. No meaningful conversation could be had anyway as line too poor. Latest email requesting my full medical history as I was awaiting either repatriation or treatment from Portugal. Clueless, where do I go now God only knows, Coverwise never again be aware folks. Angry customer.

I am 4 months into my claim for delayed luggage and purchasing of clothes, toiletries etc, AXA keep asking for more documentation which I have provided they don't answer emails or answer the phone can be on the phone hours no reply. I have never had to claim on travel insurance before with anyone but would never use this company again scam company AVOID AVOID AVOID. Reviewed on: 8th August 2022
