Outstanding savings advice.

I was given outstanding advice and guidance with online access to my account. Your employee understood exactly what my needs were and I have been grateful ever since. Next time I am going to be guided through the next stage. Reviewed on: 16th April 2025

When things are going well, they are fine, BUT

When things are going well, they are fine. However, when there is a problem, they are poor at communicating with customers. For example, there was a recent problem with interest payments on regular savings accounts which took 3 weeks to resolve. The home screen showed a message that the problem would be resolved “shortly”. Also, the next interest payment date for regular savings accounts is wrong and remains wrong. Overall great customer service.

I rang as I never received a confirmation email of my account that I set up online. In particular Simon McCabe (Customer Contact Administrator) was very helpful and informative in advising me on my account and how I could get funds in to my account. Great branches and friendly staff

Darlington Building Society have made it very easy to manage my money. Having that branch presence in so many North East towns helps me withdraw cash quickly when needed. I love the online banking bit too - great to double check every lines up. I think they have fixed their passbook printers too because it's looking so much nicer now.
