I have been with Darlington building society since August 2020 and I have always received excellent service. Darlington gave me a mortgage when other lenders wouldn’t. I recently had to speak to Darlington and the 2 officers I dealt with were very helpful. Although they couldn’t solve the problem they gave me information to investigate different avenues. We are about to come to the end of our 25 year mortgage. Some years ago we came into financial difficulty and all the worry that brings. The meetings and discussions we had made life so much easier, the staff were brilliant. They did not judge and just helped us decide what was best for us. My experience with Darlington was exceptional, especially during an incredibly challenging period in my life. The COVID-19 pandemic caused significant cash flow issues for me, which were further compounded by ill health. Despite these difficulties, Darlington provided unwavering support and understanding until I was able to reenter employment. Their customer service team was outstanding—compassionate, professional, and always willing to assist. I am truly grateful for their patience and dedication during such a tough time. Darlington went above and beyond to help, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you, Darlington (especially Brian), for your exceptional service and support when I needed it most.
