Direct Line provides car insurance for UK customers.

You can choose between three Direct Line car insurance policies: Essentials – entry level cover, Comprehensive and the top level called Comprehensive Plus. Going direct is the only way to get windscreen and misfuelling cover as standard on all levels.

Always been a good service and I trust the brand

I have been a motor insurance customer with them for years. I will never chose the cheapest of anything, and so in fairness Direct Line is not a price decision, which personally I think is so often a false economy. But I know the customer service is great and I they were great when someone knocked off my painted wing mirror. Reviewed on: 28th July 2018

Not on comparison sites and they charge more for an automatic renewal than for an on line quote so you always have to remember to do your renewal on line!!! Reviewed on: 5th August 2017

Friendly customer service & easy renewal process

Recently renewed our car insurance with Direct Line. Received paperwork and emails before renewal to remind me, and to outline the costs. Telephone customer service was good - well trained staff and I wasn't left on hold for ages. Probably not the very cheapest company, but not bad. Overall would recommend. Reviewed on: 27th July 2017

I had a bit of a bump in my car (ok I reversed into a bollard...). I was rather embarrassed and needed a new door. The people I dealt with over the phone made me feel so much better about it and they sorted it all, no problem! Reviewed on: 22nd July 2017
