Direct Line have two home insurance products to choose from.

The Home Insurance option is a standard policy. Direct Line’s Home Insurance Plus policy includes all the features of the Home Insurance cover but with extras included, such as personal possessions, accidental damage and home emergency protection.

Great value

When the time came to renew my insurance, I did the standard "comparing Meercats", but then thought I'd give Direct Line a try, as I know they're famously not on the comparison sites. Their quote was far and away the cheapest, for a similar level of cover. I've not had cause to make a claim ( and hopefully I never will !! ), so I can't comment on their claims process, but they are one of the best-known names so I anticipate that, should the worst happen, there won't be any problems. Very reasonable home insurance

After receiving my renewal quote from my home insurance, I decided to look around to see if I could get a better offer. I used a few price comparison sites, but found Direct Line the cheapest of the lot and very efficient. I'm now in my second year with them as the price is still very competitive.
