FirstDirect still doing the business in a personal way

First direct keep me informed without bombarding me relentlessly with emails and texts. They inform of product offerings, statements and interest rate changes in periodic and timely fashion. On the few occasions I need to call them on the phone their staff truly demonstrate why they have won so many customer service awards since 1989 Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

Challenging set-up process, excellent customer service

Opening the account was hardwork - shame you can't use the HSBC branches during this process. However, customer service and products are very good. Reviewed on: 19th July 2018

Entirely happy - all good so far

Switched to First Direct as a consequence of very bad experience with M and S Bank, based on First Direct’s positive customer feedback ratings, even though they’re both of them offshoots of HSBC. All is very good at least so far: they seem most helpful and their online banking systems are effective. So can recommend. Reviewed on: 27th April 2018
