FirstDirect still doing the business in a personal way

First direct keep me informed without bombarding me relentlessly with emails and texts. They inform of product offerings, statements and interest rate changes in periodic and timely fashion. On the few occasions I need to call them on the phone their staff truly demonstrate why they have won so many customer service awards since 1989 Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

First Firect First Class

I've been with First Direct since the bank opened. I like that you get straight through to a friendly operator 24 hrs a day 365 days a year. No press 1 blah blah blah nonsense. I get a £250 free overdraft and can manage my account online or go into HSBC branches or the post office. I wouldn't bank with anyone else. Reviewed on: 18th July 2017

Black & white banking

What you see is what you get with FD. Over the years they've invested in improving their app and to this day I feel confident as a customer to manage my finances via the app or online. On rare occasions I call up. No frills, no added bits and bobs but it works and I'm happy :) Reviewed on: 24th June 2017
